The second work with the theme Reed.
This work was created in the same way as part 1.
However, this part is inspired by a ditch side where a lot of reeds are swaying together in the wind.
More green has been incorporated.
The dimensions are exactly the same as Reed 1.
The work is stretched on a wooden frame.
Material: wool, various types of sheep's wool combined with some silk (visible in the red of the plumes).
Also small pieces of fabric and white threads with very small sequins in between that sparkle a bit: just like real reeds in the sun.

You actually have to see this work in 'real life' to get the right impression.
It does something to you, you see everything in it.
Anyone who does not know what this represents, immediately mentions the sea.
Indeed, it is inspired by the sea and the posts on the sand. The colors are never even, but 'playful' with a glitter here and there, just like on the coast.. where a little bit of water and sun give a sparkle.

Een vleugje zacht en een beetje strak.
Op de foto ligt het werk te drogen nadat het helemaal met de hand is gemaakt. Het is een mix van het fijne rustige wit met de strakke cirkels die vol zitten met warme groen- en geel tinten.
Dwars daarover heen een warme kleuren combi.
Een werk dat 'fijn' voelt en mooi is in zijn eenvoud.

Dit werk is groot. Hier hangt het nog te drogen maar intussen is het een wandpaneel dat een ruimte een speciale sfeer geeft. Dat heeft waarschijnlijk met de materialen te maken. Een ondergrond van schapenwol met daarop voornamelijk linnen en zijde maar ook stukken met een mix aan gekleurde schapenwol.
Je blijft er naar kijken en ziet steeds meer kleuren.
Warme geel- oranje- en roodtinten waarin je een vogel naar links ziet vliegen maar misschien ook wel de zon hoog boven de vogel. Een landschap, je vleugels uitslaan, vrijheid.
